French telecommunications market has overcome liberalization, and become one of the most advanced in Europe, being at the third place among neighboring markets. ADSL market's leader is Orange (France Telecom), followed by SFR, Free and Bouygoues. Additionally to high-speed connection, subscribers can download games, video, use VoIP telephony to call for landline phones and watch digital television. French ISPs, fighting with piracy, have introduced a policy of blocking a subscriber after he/she downloads pirate content for three times.
